ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Road closed between Montgomery and Comanche except to local businesses.
10:45am UPDATE: Repairs are under way on an 8″ water
main that broke overnight on Carlisle between Comanche and
Montgomery, the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority said. All southbound lanes of Carlisle are closed between
Montgomery and Comanche; northbound traffic between these two
streets is down to one lane.
Repairs to the water main are
expected to take several more hours, and some businesses along
Carlisle will be without water temporarily. Commuters should
expect traffic issues in that area for the next two or three
days as repairs are completed and the roadway is repaved.
6:00am UPDATE: One northbound lane of Carlisle between Montgomery and Comanche NE remains open but all three southbound lanes are closed because of an overnight water main break on Carlisle, KOB-TV is reporting.
An overnight water main break on Carlisle has forced the closure of southbound Carlisle between Montgomery and Comanche, except to local businesses, KOAT-TV is reporting.
Water service to area homes and businesses hasn’t been affected so far, Action 7 News reported.
Drivers in the area are being warned of possible icy conditions because of near-freezing temperatures this morning.
