ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The FBI and Albuquerque police are investigating the armed robbery that occurred Monday afternoon.
The robbery occurred about 3:20 p.m. at MyBank at 6000 Montgomery Boulevard, near San Pedro Drive NE, according to the FBI.
The suspect showed a handgun and demanded money during the robbery, according to the FBI. The robber took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as possibly being a white male in his late 20s and about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build and weighing about 200 pounds.
According to witness statements, the suspect wore a light blue hooded sweatshirt with dark blue stripes on the shoulders and dark blue sweatpants with a white stripe down the leg. He also was wearing black shoes and a light colored bandana over his lower face, according to the FBI.
The FBI is investigating whether this individual could be responsible for other bank robberies in the area.
