3:05 p.m. — The motorcyclist who was critically injured in a crash this morning has been identified as 19-year-old Zachary Delmore, police said.
The last update from the hospital was that Delmore was in the Surgical Trauma ICU.
1:58 p.m. – A motorcyclist who was ejected after crashing into a curb in Albuquerque late this morning is in critical condition, police said.
The motorcyclist, a man thought to be about 20 years old, apparently lost control while driving on Langham SE just north of Avenida Cesar Chavez before noon, said APD officer Tasia Martinez. He was thrown from the motorcycle into a ditch bank west of the road when he hit the curb.
The man is currently at UNMH. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area of Avenida Cesar Chavez and Langham while an investigation is conducted, Martinez said.
