Breaking: Single-Vehicle Crash Leaves Teen Dead; Alcohol Likely a Factor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — One teenager is dead, one injured and another facing criminal charges after the two were involved in a high-speed crash near Isleta Boulevard and Raymac Road SW on Saturday night.

Police say alcohol is likely a factor in the crash, which left the driver, aged 17, and a passenger with injuries. Another passenger was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver lost control and struck a fence and a power pole, causing the vehicle to roll over.

Investigators were in the process of securing an arrest warrant for the driver late Saturday night.
