Roadblocks Up During Hunting Seasons

........................................................................................................................................................................................

The state Department of Game and Fish will conduct roadblocks throughout New Mexico during upcoming hunting seasons to collect harvest data and to apprehend wildlife law violators, the department said in a news release.

Conservation officers also will check for compliance with the state’s Off Highway Motor Vehicle Act, the Aquatic Invasive Species Control Act, and drivers of vehicles hauling wood products will be asked to produce documentation as required by the Forestry Conservation Act, the release said.

Game and Fish officers will be assisted by other law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico State Police and county sheriffs’ departments, the department said.

As a result, the public may experience some minor delays, according to Game and Fish.
