Las Cruces Man Facing Murder Charge

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Suspect accused in shooting death of man during dispute between neighbors over noise

A 31-year-old Las Cruces man is facing a murder charge in the shooting death of another man that allegedly stemmed from a dispute between neighbors, the Las Cruces Sun-News reported.

Tony Garza was arrested after the fatal shooting Friday evening, the newspaper said.

The Sun-News reported that family members identified the dead man as Benjamin Baeza, 44. He was airlifted after the shooting to University Medical Center in El Paso, where he died as a result of his injuries, according to the newspaper.

Las Cruces Police Sgt. Kiri Daines said the shooting occurred during a neighbor dispute over noise.
