Did real dinos have to carry ID cards?

........................................................................................................................................................................................

It is quite common for extinct animals to be called dinosaurs. But not all extinct animals are, in fact, dinosaurs.

What, then, do you call such animals? Dinosaur Pretenders.

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, 1801 Mountain NW, is presenting “Dinosaur Pretenders: Dimetrodon and Revueltosaurus” beginning at 9  a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. The exhibit is part of the ongoing “Dinosaur Century: 100 Years of Discovery in New Mexico” and focuses on the reptilelike Dimetrodon and Revueltosaurus.

Admission is $7 adults, $6 seniors and $4 children. The museum is open from 9  a.m.-5  p.m. daily.
