WNMU Museum Has Exhibition on Korean War

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Grant County residents provided military items, family heirlooms for the collection

 

The Western New Mexico University Museum has a new temporary exhibition, “The Korean War: Remembering the Forgotten,” the Silver City Sun-News reported.

The newspaper said the exhibit on the Korean War, sometimes called the forgotten war, includes original photos, war-era magazines and publications and military uniforms.

Grant County residents provided military items and family heirlooms for the collection, according to the Sun-News.

The museum in Silver City is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the newspaper said. For more information on the exhibit, call (575) 538-6386.
