........................................................................................................................................................................................

The state chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors is hosting Don Cassidy, president of the Retirement Investing Institute in Denver, for a talk on Nov. 13 titled: “Post-Election Investing Strategies: What Now?”

The presentation, which begins at 6:45 p.m., will be at the Clarion Hotel, 7620 Pan American Freeway NE in Albuquerque.

Ticket price is $15 per person.

For more information or to register, contact: George Proctor, AAII president, at 505-239-0102 or aaii.albuquerque@gmail.com.

Organizers said Cassidy will focus on investments for the rest of this year and the new year, with a lame-duck Congress in mind. He also will discuss controlling taxes with an eye to future possible bracket changes and what industries and commodities are most likely to be helped, or hurt, by the political lineup coming in January.

Cassidy is the program chair of the Denver AAII chapter and a frequent speaker at AAII chapter and national events, as well as a speaker for CFA Societies in the U.S. and Canada and at annual InvestEd conferences.

He has spent his whole career in the investment business, including stints as a consultant, a brokerage-house company analyst, and as a senior analyst and media spokesperson for Fund Tracker Lipper. He earned a financial degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

His retirement Investing Institute (http://r-i-i.org) is committed to offering and encouraging investor education for all stages of life.
