Three Pueblos Share in $1.14 Million From Feds

HUD grant money going to Taos, Sandia, Pojoaque pueblos

Three New Mexico pueblos will share in $1.14 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., said Wednesday.

The senator said in a news release that Taos Pueblo Housing will receive $655,966, Pueblo of Sandia will get $274,154 and Pueblo of Pojoaque Housing Corporation will receive $213,338.

According to the news release, the pueblos can use the money to implement a number of affordable housing activities, including new construction, acquisition, modernization or rehabilitation of rental or owner-occupied housing.
