A picture’s worth a thousand notes

Adding a soundtrack to a film is a difficult job.

Try adding the soundtrack to a film while it’s playing. That’s the job two bands will have during events at The Guild Cinema, 3405 E. Central, at 6:30 and 8:30  p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, and Tuesday, Nov. 20. On Monday, A Hawk and a Hacksaw will be scoring early-20th-century animation and cartoons.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday The Saletta Teixeria Fiasco will soundtrack water, polar and various seafaring footage as well as music for the documentary “Nanook of the North.”

Tickets are $7 per show, cash only, and advance tickets are available at Nob Hill Music, 3419 E. Central. For more information, visit www.guildcinema.com.
