ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Vilsack will hold a rural community forum Wednesday at Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is bringing the Obama administration’s Rural Tour to New Mexico next week with a stop at Las Cruces.
The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that Vilsack will hold a rural community forum Wednesday at the Memorial Medical Center stage of the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds west of Las Cruces, off Interstate 10.
The newspaper said the forum will be from 10:20 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m.
Wednesday’s forum will be the 21st stop on the administration’s Rural Tour, the Sun-News reported.
Vilsack will discuss efforts by the Obama administration to “rebuild and revitalize rural America” and will talk with residents about federal government assistance and federal stimulus projects, according to the newspaper.
