LAS CRUCES (AP) — Agents working a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint in southern New Mexico seized more than 100 pounds of marijuana during a weekend bust.

Authorities say the drugs were found Sunday in four metal containers fabricated inside the gas tank of an SUV.

A drug dog had alerted agents to the stash, which had an estimated value of $88,000.

Border authorities say the drugs and the driver — identified as 22-year-old Ivon Ramos — were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
