ABQ RIDE is holding the last of six planned public meetings on the feasibility of a Bus Rapid Transit system down Central Avenue from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, 2000 Mountain Rd. NW (across from Tiguex Park), according to an ABQ RIDE news release.
Participants will hear a presentation on Bus Rapid Transit by ABQ RIDE Director Bruce Rizzieri, then will have a chance to give their ideas and ask questions about the concept, the release said.
Six public meetings were scheduled along the Central Avenue Corridor as part of the city’s alternative analysis on the operational and financial feasibility of a BRT system along Central.
More public meetings may be scheduled next year concerning the Bus Rapid Transit idea.
