Lovelace unveils plan for Los Lunas hospital

........................................................................................................................................................................................

Albuquerque’s Lovelace Health System has agreed to run a privately-financed 110,000-square-foot hospital to be built on an undisclosed site in Los Lunas.
The hospital, to be opened in 2015, will be built with an estimated $55 million in private equity money by Oklahoma City-based Miller Development + Architecture. The Miller firm was part of a long-delayed effort to build a hospital near Belen that was to have been managed by Covenant Health, based in Knoxville, Tenn.
Lovelace announced it will also build a primary care clinic in Los Lunas in 2013 to serve Lovelace Health Plan members, including 500 Village of Los Lunas employees and their family members.
