Gry Tesch, 36, has been charged with sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s 12-year-old daughter at a Carlsbad RV park last December, the Carlsbad Current-Argus reported.
New Mexico State Police investigators were assigned the case on Dec. 12 when the child’s mother reported the alleged assault of her daughter, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint said investigators conducted a safe house interview with the girl who allegedly told them that Tesch had sexual contact and digitally penetrated her while she was in Tesch’s care, the Current-Argus said.
Tesch allegedly was watching the girl while her mother went to Roswell to shop with a friend, the complaint said.
When her mother picked her up, the girl told her sister what allegedly happened and the sister told the girl’s mother, police said.
The mother immediately went to confront Tesch, who denied the allegations, and went to authorities on the following day, according to the Current-Argus.
Tesch allegedly told State Police investigators that nothing inappropriate occurred with the girl, but a subsequent sexual abuse examination revealed damage consistent with the girl’s account, the complaint said.
Tesch had pleaded not guilty to first-degree criminal sexual penetration of a minor and third-degree criminal sexual contact, and will face a preliminary hearing on Feb. 17, the paper reported.
