Westerns are all the rage — just ask Seth MacFarlane.
The funny man’s next film, “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” is putting out a casting call to New Mexicans.
According to Elizabeth Gabel Casting, the film is looking for “lots of men with lovely, long, manly, handlebar mustaches.”
“The bigger the better. A great and fun project. Start grow out those mustaches for some great camera time,” Gabel states in a release.
The film is slated to film early this spring.
According to the Internet Movie Database, Charlize Theron is in final talks for the film, though her role is not yet known.
MacFarlane is set to star and direct the film.
The movie plot is about a farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and his girlfriend leaves him. When he meets the wife of a notorious outlaw who offers to teach him how to shoot, the farmer sees a chance to win back his love, but slowly falls for the outlaw’s wife.
MacFarlane co-wrote the screenplay with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.
He is set to host the Academy Awards in February and is the driving force behind the hit animated TV shows, “Family Guy,” “The Cleveland Show” and “American Dad.”
