A Ramah man has been sentenced to six years in prison in connection with the stabbing death of his uncle.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Dhanzasikam R. Toledo also was sentenced Monday to three years of supervised release after serving his prison term.
Toledo was arrested after the November 2011 stabbing on the Navajo Nation and indicted on a second-degree murder charge.
A federal jury convicted Toledo last September on the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter.
According to the evidence presented at trial, Toledo fatally stabbed his uncle during an argument over a debt owed by Toledo to the victim.
