We may not be in New Orleans, but we can still have fun for Mardi Gras.
A bit of the Big Easy will be felt during a masquerade ball starting at 8 tonight at The Mermaid’s Room at Great Face & Body, 123 Broadway SE, with the Mardi Gras Krewe. A krewe is an organization that puts on a parade and/or a ball for the carnival season. The term is best known for its association with New Orleans Mardi Gras.
Along with the masquerade ball, there will be music at 7 p.m. The three-day celebration will also have Brazilian music by Saudade at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9; and a gospel brunch featuring Cathryn McGill at noon Sunday, Feb. 10.
Tickets start at $10-$40 at www.holdmyticket.com or www.greatfaceandbody.com.
