6:09am 2/7/13 — Las Cruces Man Missing

Las Cruces police are asking for the public’s help in finding 56-year-old John Jake Johnson, who has not been seen by family or friends since Sunday, police said in a news release.

Johnson was last seen on Telshor Boulevard, police said.

Johnson recently suffered a head injury in an automobile crash in Albuquerque, so friends are concerned for his welfare.

Friends believe he may still be in the Las Cruces area or may have traveled to El Paso, according to police.

He is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, has graying hair with a gray beard and mustache and was last seen driving a 2008 Hyundai Accent with New Mexico license plate 458PMG.

Anyone with information is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or text CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
