ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Two-vehicle collision occurred around 9:50 p.m. where I-10 and I-25 merge south of Las Cruces.
A two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Interstate 25 south of Las Cruces around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday sent one man to Thomason Hospital in El Paso, the Las Cruces Sun-News reported.
Police said a semi-truck carrying bales of cotton collided with a pickup truck at the point where I-10 and I-25 come together, and the pickup truck burst into flames after the impact, the Sun-News said.
Several Dona Ana County fire departments responded to the scene, the paper reported.
The semi-truck driver was able to pull the pickup driver from the wreckage, and the injured man was taken to the hospital, the Sun-News said.
The name and condition of the pickup driver weren’t immediately available, according to the paper.
No citations have been issued, but the accident remains under investigation, the Sun-News reported.
