Sometimes good ideas really do come in the form of an e-mail
In our in box this week came an announcement of a movement started in Florida aimed to “inspire the world through random acts of giving.”
The GiftRevolution.com was launched last week by a network of individuals, churches and businesses. “When a gift is given, whether big or small, it can make a world of difference,” said the group’s press release.
People are encouraged to leave theGiftRevolution.com card with any gift that they give and those that receive one are to leave it with the next gift that they give. Cards can be downloaded and printed, sent via mail or picked up at various locations, all free of charge. Detailed information on this can be found at theGiftRevolution.com.
Those that give, or have been gifted, can share their story by uploading a video or by posting it on the website. Person to person, community to community, country to country, follow the journey and share the stories on theGiftRevolution.com.
I think this is a great idea and have set a personal goal along these lines. If you perform some random acts of kindness, let us know what you did (and what kind of reaction you received — it’s not always a positive experience)
