Kirby Jefferson was recently named vice president for the technology and manufacturing group at Intel Corp. and general manager of Intel's Fab 11X manufacturing complex in Rio Rancho.
Jefferson is responsible for site operations at the manufacturing complex, which fabricates semiconductor products, especially for mobile market segments.
Jefferson was general manager of Intel Semiconductor Ltd. — known as Fab 68 — in Dalian, China, where he spent eight years at that production site. Jefferson has worked for Intel since 1980. In his time with the company, he has helped start seven factories and held a variety of jobs in manufacturing and engineering.
A native New Mexican, Jefferson earned his bachelor's degree and his MBA degree from the University of New Mexico, the latter from the school's Robert O. Anderson School of Management.
Jefferson will succeed Dave Baglee, F11X plant manager, who is expected to retire in May.
