DENVER (AP) — It may be spring, but another round of winter weather and poor travel conditions are blanketing Colorado.
There is a winter storm warning in the central mountains, sandwiched by winter storm watches on the Western Slope and Eastern Plains.
The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed Interstate-70 eastbound from Burlington to Kansas.
The National Weather Service says most of the Denver metro area will end up with 3 to 6 inches of snow through early today.
Up to 10 inches of show is expected in the central mountains. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center says avalanche danger there is considerable.
On Saturday, 6 people were caught in an avalanche north of Loveland Pass. All were buried, and five were killed.
Denver International Airport says there are no major delays.
