The Target store at Lomas and Eubank NE could be getting some company.
Accelerated Development and Q Real Estate have partnered to purchase 143,557 square feet of mostly vacant retail space at Market Center East and plan to remodel and find new tenants for the shopping center.
Located in a bustling retail corridor, the center is already home to Target (which owns its own parcel) but had lost several tenants in recent years, including a Michaels craft store and Sports Authority.
Accelerated Managing Principal Dave Cheatham told the Journal Tuesday that many retailers had left to make room for a Lowe’s store that was never built. Accelerated and Q Real Estate bought the property from Lowe’s earlier this year.
For more on the project, read the story in tomorrow’s Journal.
