ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Michael Schumacher told a packed room at Rio Rancho City Hall Thursday that his company BIZDOC Inc. has entered into an agreement to purchase the Chamisa Hills Golf and Country Club.
Schumacher has lived in Enchanted Hills for five years and in Rio Rancho for the past 14 years. He said he wants to continue to operate the property as a golf course and “engage into dialogue” with city officials and neighbors.
He attended a work session the city held to hear public comment and discuss the property. He was the first person to speak during the public comment period of the meeting.
“I don’t have a grand strategic plan,” Schumacher said. “But I do have a vision.”
Neighbors had feared a new owner would turn the property into a residential subdivision.
