Ken Jordan has never been one to slack off when it comes to work.

The co-founder of electronic duo The Crystal Method is always busy with new material. Whether its for an upcoming album or music to be used in films, the duo is one of the “go-to” pairs in electronic music.

“It’s all been a blessing,” Jordan says during a recent interview. “It’s been great that we’ve been able to do this for as long as we have.”

Jordan and Scott Kirkland began working together in the mid-1990s. They were among bands such as The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers, who pioneered bringing big-beat electronic dance genre to pop culture.

The duo has released four albums and is gearing up to release an EP, “Sling the Decks,” later this year.

They are known for the enduring dance-floor anthems “Now Is The Time,” “Keep Hope Alive” and “Trip Like I Do.”

They’ve also carved out a niche for themselves working with some of rock’s elite, such as Scott Weiland, Matisyahu, New Order’s Peter Hook, Emily Haines of Metric and Filter’s Richard Patrick.

“We’re always looking for the next project,” Jordan says. “If it interests us, we’ll go ahead and tackle the project full steam ahead.”

The duo has dominated the remix, film soundtrack, television, gaming and advertising worlds, most recently helping Victoria’s Secret drop jaws with music for a TV commercial campaign and collaborating with soundtrack heavyweight Danny Elfman on several contributions to Hollywood blockbuster “Real Steel.”

They’re also featured in the documentary “ReGeneration,” which was a collaboration with the Grammy Foundation and the Independent Film Channel.
