SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez is traveling to Colorado for a meeting of the Republican Governors Association.
Martinez political adviser Jay McCleskey said the association will pay for the governor’s travel.
The governor’s office said Martinez is to travel to Aspen on Tuesday and return to New Mexico either Thursday evening or Friday morning.
The association is a political organization that helps elect Republican governors. The group was a top contributor to Martinez in 2010, giving $1.3 million to her campaign.
Martinez is running for re-election in 2014.
