Ex-Eldorado WR May Start for Colorado

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Former Eldorado High School wide receiver Tyler McCulloch is close to making history at the University of Colorado.
The Buffaloes released their depth chart Monday, and McCulloch is listed as a co-starter with senior Toney Clemons at the team’s “X” wide receiver position. If he starts the opener against Hawaii on Sept. 3, McCulloch would be the first freshman in school history to do so at that position.
“Tyler has earned it, and we need Toney to keep coming,” CU coach Jon Embree said on the school’s website Monday. “ … we just don’t want to throw (Tyler) in the fire. That’s why they’re co-starters right now.”
