Lobo basketball fans wanting single-game tickets can purchase them Saturday without ever leaving their house. Single-game tickets for all 18 men’s home games and all 17 women’s home games will be available online at www.unmtickets.comstarting at 8 a.m. on Saturday. An added option for on-line buyers is the “print at home” feature.
Single-game tickets will also go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Lobo Ticket Office at The Pit. Tickets can also be purchased through the phone center (M-F, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 925-5858) and at all Albertson stores in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho/Santa Fe area.
UNM has sold nearly 11,000 season tickets for men’s basketball and nearly 5,600 women’s season tickets.
New Mexico opens the exhibition season with games on Tuesday, Nov. 1 against Davenport at 7 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 5 against Western New Mexico at 7 p.m. The women’s team’s only exhibition game for new head coach Yvonne Sanchez is Saturday, Nov. 5 vs. visiting New Mexico Highlands at 2 p.m.
The first regular season home game for men’s basketball is Saturday, Nov. 11 vs. New Orleans at 7 p.m. Lobo women’s basketball officially opens the season vs. Big 12 power Oklahoma on Saturday, November 19th at 2p.m.
NOTE: Six men’s home games were picked up by My50-TV for broadcast, as well as the women’s exhibition game against New Mexico Highlands. The men’s games picked up were both exhibition games, the opener against New Orleans, the Dec. 20 game with Montana State, the Jan. 3 game with Houston Baptist, and the Jan. 7 game vs. North Dakota. The Dec. 28 game at New Mexico State will be on AggieVision, and the Dec. 10 game at USC will be on Fox Sports West. UNM officials are awaiting word on potential broadcast channels for the Nov. 18 game at Arizona State, meaning that potentially 30 of the Lobos’ 32 scheduled games will be televised.
