Walker Leaves Aggies for NFL Job

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico State officials confirmed Thursday that head football coach DeWayne Walker is leaving the school to accept an assistant coaching position with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

Walker, 52, was 10-40 over his four seasons at NMSU, including a 1-11 2012. He leaves the school with National Signing Day just around the corner, on Feb. 6.
