Abortion opponents hold demonstration in Albuquerque

........................................................................................................................................................................................

About 40 anti-abortion activists demonstrated Thursday at the Holocaust Intolerance Museum of New Mexico demanding an exhibit about abortion at the museum.

The group, Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, contends abortion has parallels with the World War II Holocaust and other genocides and has a place at the Albuquerque museum, according to a written statement.

Randee Kaiser, president of the Holocaust Intolerance Museum, said she turned down the group’s request because abortion is outside the scope of the museum.

The Holocaust Intolerance Museum features exhibits of the Jewish Holocaust under Nazi Germany, but includes exhibits of other genocides, including those of Armenians and Native Americans.
