4:33 — Police said 24-year-old Andrew Ferrell was driving his 2006 Honda four-wheeler and heading north on 56th Street NW when his rear brake locked up, he lost control, struck his truck parked in the drive way and was thrown from the ATV.
Police said Ferrell was traveling at a “high” rate of speed when he struck the back end of his truck. He was rushed to UNMH with life-threatening injuries. He is still listed as being in critical condition.
Ferrell was not wearing a helmet.
An unidentified person is reported to be in critical condition at University Hospital Tuesday after a single vehicle crash of a four wheel all terrain vehicle, police said.
The person, who has not been identified by police, was riding on the ATV, and suffered life threatening injuries in the crash Tuesday afternoon in the 5000 block of 57th Place, according to police spokeswoman Tasia Martinez.
