FARMINGTON (AP) — Authorities say an unknown gunman fired several rounds toward a New Mexico high school football stadium while a team was practicing and several people were in the stands.

Farmington police said the drive-by shooting Wednesday night occurred at Hutchinson Football Stadium. No one was injured in the shooting.

According to investigators, witnesses say a blue car drove up to the stadium and a gunman in the vehicle fired several rounds from a rifle. Police say bullets struck the press box.

No arrests have been made.

Authorities say the Farmington High School football team was practicing under the lights at the time of the shooting.

Piedra Vista High School also plays home games at Hutchinson.
