They say the small places have the best food. These gems are worth seeking out, not only for the food but to support a local business. In a small strip mall on Eubank near Constitution is one of those gems — it’s called Mom’s Kitchen. Not only is the food great, the service is wonderful, too.
It was difficult to choose from the many items on the menu — everything sounded so good. On my first visit, I finally decided to try the stuffed sopaipillas. The sopas were literally stuffed with tender, flavorful carne. The usual sides of beans and rice also were tasty. Tri-colored chips accompanied the salsa.
On subsequent visits I will have a hard time deciding among all the menu choices — but that’s a good problem to have.
