Violent Crimes detectives have identified a suspected voyeur who was beaten and hospitalized, police said.

Dylan Maho, 29, is being charged with felony voyeurism , according to Albuquerque police spokeswoman Tasia Martinez.

Maho’s condition has been upgraded from critical to stable condition at University Hospital, Martinez said.

Police were called to a southwest area home about 2:30 a.m. Thursday with a report of a prowler looking into a window at two teenage girls. When police arrived, they found a naked man who had been severely beaten, Martinez said.

The man who beat Maho has been identified as Emilio Chavez 3rd, 39, the father of the girls, Martinez said, Chavez is facing charges of aggravated battery, Martinez said.

A suspected prowler was beaten and left hospitalized in critical condition after he was reportedly seen naked and peeking into the window of a room shared by two teenage girls at a home in Southwest Albuquerque, police said.

Officers responded to the area of Corriz and Garnet SW just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a prowler, Albuquerque police spokeswoman Tasia Martinez said.

The 911 caller told a dispatcher that “a naked man was caught peering into the window of their home, watching the caller’s 13- and 15-year-old daughters …,” she said. “Three men from within the residence chased the alleged prowler away from the property and a physical fight ensued.”

Arriving officers found a naked man “badly beaten” on the street, Martinez said.

Three men at the scene, later identified as relatives or friends of the family of the girls, were detained and were scheduled to be interviewed Thursday, she said.

Detectives will work with the District Attorney’s Office to determine whether anyone will be charged, Martinez said.
