ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police have caught two suspects in connection with a robbery that happened this evening at a bank in the Northeast Heights.
According to Albuquerque police, the victim was making a night deposit at the Bank of America automated teller machine at Juan Tabo and Montgomery when a man approached the victim and demanded the deposit. The offender used a Taser on the victim, police said.
Detectives who were on duty and not far from the scene when the call came in immediately went to the area, where they caught one of the alleged offenders at the intersection, police said. A second subject, who was allegedly driving the getaway vehicle, was later caught a few blocks away.
At this time, the unnamed man and woman are in custody and being questioned, police said. Charges are pending.
Police said the incident matched other robberies that have occurred in the city.
