ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Balloon Fiesta bike valet service coordinator David Candelaria estimated volunteers checked in around 330 bicycles on the first morning of the balloon event.
“That’s down a little bit from last year, but on the whole it went very well,” Candelaria said.
The volunteer run service gives event visitors the option to ride their bicycles to the Balloon Park and check them in for free in a supervised secure parking corral.
The bike corral is accessed via the North Diversion Channel trail and is located just north of the Balloon Museum. The service is available for all Balloon Fiesta events.
