Lobo basketball remains unranked (view updated polls)

........................................................................................................................................................................................

The Lobos hiatus from both major college basketball polls extended to week No. 2 on Monday.

New Mexico (5-1) remained unranked in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches top 25 polls. The Lobos fell out of each top 25 last Monday following their loss the previous week to Massachusetts.

Mountain West rival San Diego State, meanwhile, checked in at No. 24 in the AP Top 25. UNM received votes in both polls with 71 points (AP) and 36 points (coaches) in the “others receiving votes” category of each poll. The Lobos are two spots out being ranked in the coaches poll and three spots out of the AP Top 25.

San Diego State also received votes in the coaches poll and fellow Mountain West team Boise State received votes in each poll.
