New Mexico Bowl: CSU, WSU accept

Colorado State and Washington State have accepted a bid to play in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl at University Stadium on Sept. 21. it was announced today.
The Rams finished the season with a 7-6 record. This will be their second appearance in the New Mexico Bowl, having beaten Fresno State in 2008. Colorado State hasn’t been to a bowl game since then.
Washington State was 6-6 under second-year coach Mike Leach, whom Lobo fans will remember from his days at Texas Tech. This will be the Cougars’ first bowl appearance since 2003.
