Lowest Scoring Lobos Games in Shot Clock Era

SAN DIEGO — The No. 15 New Mexico Lobos were held to 34 points Saturday at Viejas Arena in an embarrassing 55-34 loss to San Diego State.

It was the lowest point total in the shot clock era (the 1985-86 season) for the Lobos and lowest total since scoring 32 in a Jan. 31, 1976 loss to Utah.

Since the 1985-86 season, UNM has been held under 50 points 27 times. The Lobos have been held under 45 points nine times and held under 40 points just twice.

Here are the 27 times UNM has been held under 50 points in the shot clock era (even have a few W’s mixed in there):
