ABQ BioPark will stay open later on Wednesdays beginning on this Wednesday (June 1) and running through Aug. 31 so people can enjoy summer evenings at the Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden.
The extended hours for “Zooper Miercoles” (“Zooper Wednesdays”) will mean the BioPark will be open until 8 p.m., according to a news release from ABQ BioPark.
The admission to the Zoo or Aquarium/Botanic Garden on “Zooper Miercoles” will be $5 for adults and $2 for children (3-12) and seniors (65 and up), the news release said.
The news release said tickets will be available on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the gate. Advance and online ticket sales will be not available for “Zooper Miercoles” and combo tickets will not be sold.
There will be no additional admission charge for daytime visitors who wish to stay into the evening, and BioPark members will be admitted to “Zooper Miercoles” for free, according to the news release.
“Early evening is a great time to visit the BioPark in the summer,” said Rick Janser, ABQ BioPark director. “We feel that “Zooper Wednesdays” is a great value for everyone in Albuquerque.”
