Neutral Milk Hotel to stop in Duke City in April

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Neutral Milk Hotel is coming to the Duke City after all. The band will make a stop in the city in between its two shows at Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif.

The band will perform at the Kiva Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17.

Tickets are $37 and $51 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at ampconcerts.org, holdmyticket.com or 886-1251.

The band features Albuquerque’s own Jeremy Barnes (from A Hawk and A Hacksaw).

Neutral Milk Hotel topped critics lists with their two widely acclaimed albums in the mid-90’s. Since then, the band has become legendary, sited as a major influence on groups like Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Beirut and The Decemberists. After disbanding in 1999, the group reunited for a series of shows in 2013 and have been selling out large arenas around the country.
