Geoff Grammer’s AP Top 25 men’s basketball ballot for Jan. 20

........................................................................................................................................................................................

Conference play is starting to do damage to some top teams. There was a lot of movement this week with several ranked teams plummeting downward.

Iowa, on the other hand, is one team I’m buying stock in now more than most AP voters (no AP voter had them higher than the No. 8 spot I had the Hawkeyes at last week). I have them No. 6 this week and I think they could keep inching up into the top five by next week. Of course they could also lose on Wednesday to Michigan and then who knows what I’ll do with them on next week’s ballot?

For now, here’s this week’s ballot. Let me know what you think via email (ggrammer@abqjournal.com) or on Twitter @GeoffGrammer.
