DEMING – Border Patrol agents working in southwestern New Mexico apprehended 12 immigrants believed to have entered the country illegally.

The Border Patrol says agents working near Hachita responded to sensor activity and spotted a pickup truck traveling north on N.M. 81. They stopped the vehicle and found four people trying to hide in the bed of the truck and eight more people trying to hide under blankets in the cab, the agency said.

The truck was seized.
