ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra and guest trumpeter Bobby Shew will be on stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 at The Cooperage.
The concert will also celebrate Shew’s birthday and Mardi Gras, said AJO music director Glenn Kostur. Among the tunes the orchestra and Shew will play are Dizzy Gillespie’s “A Night in Tunisia,” Clifford Brown’s “Joy Spring” and Shew’s own “Breakfast Wine.”
The AJO, without Shew, will plays several tunes, including “Where or When” and “Limehouse Blues.”
The Cooperage is located at 7220 Lomas NE. There is no cover but donations for the band are accepted.
