ALBUQUERQUE — The No. 2-seeded Santa Fe Demonettes enter Thursday’s semifinal contest at The Pit with just one loss to a Class 4A opponent this season (Espanola Valley. Santa Fe is on an eight-game win streak, including a 51-43 victory over Roswell in the quarterfinals. … The No. 6-seeded Valencia Jaguars enter the semis after upsetting No. 3 St. Pius in the semifinals, 61-53. … Santa Fe will face No. 1 Los Lunas in the 4A title game on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

1ST QUARTER: SF 12, VALENCIA 5
- Demonettes open on a 5-0 run, protecting their margain at 7-2 and 10-5 (2:30)
- A Kayla Herrera put-back puts Santa Fe up 12-5 (32.0)
- Herrera leads the team with five points

HALFTIME: SF 23, VALENCIA 15
- SF maintains seven point margain, at 16-9 (3:57)
- Valencia on a 4-0 run, closes to 16-13 at around the 3 minute mark
- SF closes out half on a 6-0 run
- Valencia committed 10 turnovers in the first half against five for the Demonettes
- Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage scored six of her game-high eight first-half points in the second period

3RD QUARTER: SF 30, VALENCIA 26
- SF takes first double-digit lead of the game, 25-15 (7:41)
- Valencia counters with a 11-3 run. SF 28, V 26 (2:00)
- Jaguars outscore Demonettes 11-7 in period

4th QUARTER:
- Valencia opens on a 5-0 run to take first lead of the game, at 31-30 (6:15)
- Lozada-Cabbage goes down with apparent ankle injury
- SF counters with 6-0 run (4:29) to lead 36-34
- Lozada-Cabbage re-enters (4:23)
- Third lead change of the period (2:21) on a layup by Kayla Herrera, at 38-37
- Herrera turnover with 28.9 remaining
- Valencia’s Karina Dow misses a 5-footer. Jackie Martinez gets loose ball (5.3)
- Santa Fe runs out the clock to advance to the its first title game since 1997. The Demonettes haven’t won a championship since 1988
