The Zoo Music Concert Series kicks off Friday (June 17) and will continue each Friday night through Aug. 5, according to a news release from ABQ BioPark.
The concert series at the city zoo, in its 21st year, features a season lineup that ranges from rock and blues to country and jazz, the news release said.
The opening night this Friday will feature The Blasters. The group’s “American Music” includes shades of rock, punk, rock-a-billy, rhythm and blues, the news release said.
The concert series is sponsored by the city, KOB 4, 100.3 The Peak, Big I 107.9 and Best Western Rio Grande Inn, the news release said.
Tickets for the concerts are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (65 and up) and $3 for children (3-12). Tickets can be purchased on event nights or in advance online or from a BioPark cashier. Season passes are also available for a 25 percent savings, according to the news release. Gates open at 6 p.m. and concerts start at 7:30 p.m.
