Valley’s Adonis Saltes has been chosen as New Mexico’s boys basketball Gatorade Player of the Year.
The 6-foot senior guard averaged 20.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists during the season, and had an outstanding championship game against Atrisco Heritage, scoring 16 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter.
