SANTA FE – Gov. Susana Martinez traveled to Utah on Friday to take part in a Republican Governors Association meeting.
The RGA has contributed to Martinez’s campaign fund in the past, and she and other GOP governors are expected to meet with donors during this weekend’s retreat.
Other governors expected to attend the meeting, which is being held at a Park City resort, included Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the RGA’s chairman.
Martinez, who has traveled out of state frequently in recent months to raise money for her re-election campaign, will return to New Mexico on Sunday, her campaign spokesman Chris Sanchez said.
The RGA is covering the governor’s travel costs, he added.
